The Skeabost Hotel is the nearest restaurant and bar, 2.5 miles away, and the Edinbane Inn and Edinbane Lodge are 6 miles away on the road towards Dunvegan. As with all restaurants on Skye, booking well in advance during the summer months is strongly advised as many of the bars and restaurants on Skye have month-long waiting lists.

The nearest amenities are in Portree which has a number of artisan shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs as well as a large Co-op supermarket.

GETTING HERE

From the Skye Road Bridge

Follow the signs to Portree for 33 miles. At Portree High School (on your left), the road splits into two. Still on the A87, take the left-hand turn (Dunvegan Road) towards Uig and Dunvegan for A850.

After 3.7 miles, take the left-hand fork towards Dunvegan (A850).

After 4.1 miles, turn right towards Park Bernisdale.

Turn first left and then first right at the Park Bernisdale sign.

Follow the road to where it bends shaply to the left. Rowan Cottage is situated on the Lochview Croft straight ahead.

From Uig

From the ferry terminal, take the A87 towards Portree for 8 miles and go through Kensaleyre.

0.5 miles after Kensaleyre, turn right onto the hill road towards Prabost and Tote (B8036).

At the end of that road (1.5 miles), turn right onto the A850 Dunvegan Road.

Follow the road for 2.7 miles and turn right at the Park Bernisdale sign.

Turn first left and then first right (Park Bernisdale).

Follow the road to where it bends shaply to the left. Rowan Cottage is situated on the Lochview Croft straight ahead.
